Tracktio is first in the market to provide a unified architecture
that combines multiple tracking and IoT technologies
to link the “physical world” with the “digital knowledge”.


It’s simple to understand: RFID solutions, IoT solutions that remotely manage sensors and actuators, Real Time Location (RTLS for indoor and outdoor positioning) have the same objective: to take data from the physical world (made of assets, items, people and processes) trigger automated actions, and integrate the information into a Business Application (ERP, Warehouse Management,  Asset and People tracking app, etc..) so customer can take fact-based decisions.

So we had the vision to unify all technologies and operational requirements into a unified architecture.

With such vision, we developed TrackSphere, a first-in-the-market software infrastructure, that connects embedded hardware devices to the Web and your apps like ERP, allowing users and applications to interact with physical devices in real-time, like Sensors, RFID, Machine Actuators, etc.

To enable end to end solution, we also developed with the help of our device partners (Zebra/Motorola, Libelium, ThinkMagic, Impinj, etc….) a crítical piece of software that runs on the sensor or actuator, as an embedded middleware, communications agent and device manager.

SOFTWARE AND APPLICATION LAYER

 

TrackSphere is a software-oriented infrastructure that links physical devices in real-time, like Sensors, RFID readers, Machine Actuators, etc. and the web or your operations applications like ERP or others.

Tracksphere architecture is client independent and hardware agnostic, that gathers, stores and distributes massive amounts of data between physical devices in real-time gets data from the physical world, through sensors like IoT devices, RFID readers, RTLS indoor/outdoor location systems, barcode / 2D identification readers, etc.

Tracksphere let companies to use tracking + IoT data in a meaningful way in their existing applications (like ERP, CRM, MES or MRO) or in ad-hoc business analytics to improve processes and enterprise operations.

TrackSphere core functions are:

1.Data gathering, repository and distribution:

  • Collects information (both push and pull modes) from different elements e.g. RFID readers, sensors, remote beacons, machines, etc;
  • Performs cleansing and reformatting of data received, if needed;
  • It is transactional, following the same resilient protocols of banking IT systems.
  • It is Secured from Access Control to Encryption.
  • Stores information, in a local server or the cloud;
  • Notifies other applications about events and alarms;
  • Performs real-time or scheduled tasks on data gathered;
  • Transcodes and processes data according to your business and operational rules.
  • Provides other applications with the data gathered (raw data and pre-processed).

8. API for Integration with other systems

  • Customers can easily integrate with other existing applications and enterprise software using documented interfaces.
  • The primary interface for communicating with the RTLS server is based on industry standard REST / JSON calls. This allows third-party code to get and set various parameters within the RTLS system with a minimum of code using common HTTP queries. For example, it is a simple matter to query the system for nodes seen within a given time-interval.
  • All real-time and historical data is available through API

  • For low-latency applications or large data sets, the system also provides a publication/subscription mechanism that allows for push notifications to third-party clients whenever there is an update to position or sensor data. This interface is considerably more efficient than a REST polling mechanism for high-bandwidth applications.
  • Intermediate tables can be made available for exchange of real-time and metadata.
